What is Diversity?

In response to the backlash against DEI (Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion) since 2022 and the election of Donald Trump and the threat of DEI programs being cut throughout our public organizations, it’s my hope that private entities will continue to hold fast to the values of DEI, both for the good of their people and the health of their bottom lines. It’s clear to me that the branding of DEI needs to be talked about.

So I’m trying something a little different. I’m making little mini-videos. It’s a blatant marketing effort in the face of dwindling sales, I won’t try to pretend otherwise. But it’s also giving away little bits of intellectual property for free, in the hopes that a few folks who need to see them will.This is my first effort, a quick definition of what “diversity” means, and what it doesn’t. Please pass it along as you see fit. More are in the works, so check back occasionally. And let’s keep fighting the good fight.
